This time last year Tom reached out to me about capturing the moment he proposed to his girlfriend, Chelsea. To say I was excited and nervous is an understatement! We met a few days before the day to scope the area at Tod’s Point in Greenwich, CT and decided to pick a quiet spot where the sun would be setting over the water behind them as he got down on one knee! The plan was for me to wait on a bench along the path until they arrived and then follow them and wait for the moment. Thank goodness I arrived early…..it was this day in August last year and everyone was out to watch the sunset! Tables were set up along the waters edge and people were enjoying a picnic dinner – right by ‘the’ spot!!!! I quickly texted Tom to let him know there was a change of plan and that the chosen spot would be super crowded. We decided I would wait in my car and watch for them to arrive, then follow them along the path until Tom found a quieter spot…..phew!!!!!

Romance was definitely in the air and Tom put so much effort into making this a special surprise and night for his fiancee. A night out at a local restaurant had been arranged and Tom made up a story about their table not being ready for a while and suggested instead of waiting they go for a walk on such a beautiful evening.

And you guessed it, she said YES and I captured the moment! The pressure was then off and we stayed for a while to take in one of the best summer sunsets of 2021 before the newly engaged couple headed to the restaurant to begin the celebrations.

I still get goosebumps when I look at these images! Wedding plans are underway for 2022 and I couldn’t be happier for this special couple. Wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness together!
